Codibùgnolo (Aegithalos caudatus, Linnaeus, 1758)

The long-tailed tit (Aegithalos caudatus) is a passerine bird species widely distributed in forests ranging from the Iberian Peninsula to Asia. It requires woodland habitats, showing a relative preference for deciduous oak forests. Its diet is primarily insectivorous. It is characterized by a tail that is longer than the rest of its body. It has a rounded appearance and measures approximately 12–14 cm in length, with the long tail accounting for about 8 cm. Its wingspan can reach 19 cm, and it weighs up to 10 g. The wings are short and rounded. Its plumage features a combination of gray, brown, white, and black tones.
