Tree Spurge
Tree spurge (Euphorbia dendroides L. 1753) is a plant of the family Euphorbiaceae, with a wide distribution in the moquis. It grows in barren littoral, especially chalky, on sea cliffs or drops.
The plant can be found in shrubs, with dichotomic trunk and branches, 2 meters long. During winter and spring it grows some spherical green pillows-like. During summer it present itself as a shrub without leaves.
Dissemination is assured by a jerky opening system of the fruit which allows seeds to be spread away from the mother plant.
