Fiordaliso di Tenore (Centaurea tenorei Guss. ex Lacaita), is a rare and endemic flora that is protected by the Regional Law of Campania 25/11/94. It has been identified in areas such as Lattari, and in some areas of the Cilento. It blooms in June and July and grows mainly along limestone cliffs.
According to botanists, the Centaurea tenorei Guss. Former Lacaita, known as Fiordaliso di Tenore, has four different morphologies: plants with casing diameter of 9-11 mm, can be found in Monti Lattari.Plants with housing diameter 12 mm can be found at Monti sopri Scala in the Amalfi Coast. Plants with housing diameter 10 mm, is found at dolomite Montalto, M. Finestra ed Avvocata di Maiori. Plants with casing diameter of 12-15 mm is present in the coastal area of the Amalfi coast along the southern coast from Vietri sul Mare almost to Punta Campanella and on the northern coast between Vico Equense and Meta di Sorrento.
