Mediterraean locust lobster

Average size: 35 cm

Maximum size: 45 cm

This is a typical benthic species, solitary and its living habits are very similar to lobster’s and spiny lobster’s. It can be found on rocky bottoms between 2 and 70 meters of depth, where it feeds on molluscs, annelids or other dead organisms. Fish-trap is the most used fishing technique for the Mediterranean locust lobster.
