Forkbeard
Average size: 36 cm
Maximum size: over 50 cm
It has a big body, very shrunk in the back, covered in small scales. At the lower end of its big mouth is placed a little barbel. The caudal fin is small and the pelvic ones are like two long and thin bifid filaments. The most used fishing techniques are the longlines and fish traps.
