Atlantic Bonito
Average size: 40 cm
Maximum size: 80 cm
The body of the bonito is fuse-shaped, slightly compressed and with very small scales. The bonito is a pelagic fish, very good at swimming. It lives in small schools of 20-50 individuals. It mainly feeds on anchovies and sardines. It is caught with pound nets and fish-traps.
