Angler fish
Average size: 50 cm
Maximum size: 220 cm
It has a very large and flat head, while the rest of the body appears more like an appendage. The mouth is large and armed with long pointed teeth. The body is dark-brown and the belly is white. The angler lives on snady bottoms at 50 – 500 meters deep and it is a sedentary fish. It is caught with fish-traps and the minimum allowed size for fishing is 30 cm.
