Ray
Average size: 50 cm
Maximum size: 85 cm
The ray has a flattened body, kite-shaped with a long tail. The back has two small fins and it is covered in numerous thorny spines. The ray is a typical benthic species which prefer sandy and muddy bottoms between 10 and 500 meters of depth, where it needs on crustaceans and fish. It is caught with fish-trap and longline fishing.
