Black scorpion fish
Average size: 15 cm
Maximum size: 25 cm
The body is slightly compressed and covered in small scales. The head is big and armed with spines. The mouth is very large and it is endowed with tiny teeth. The black scorpion is a typical benthic species, living near the coast. It is sedentary and prefer rocky bottoms at 35 meters of depth. It is basically caught with fish-traps.
