The Cetti's warbler(Cettia cetti), is a small passerine bird which has a powerful voice and unlike other passerine bird it can also be heard during the winter season. The singing of the Cetti's warbler comes in bursts and is unique in is structure.
The bird thrives in wetlands that inhabits thick reeds and riparian vegetation, because of this thick vegetation it can be difficult to discover it. In Italy this bird is most common in the area of the Oasi fiume Alento (Oasi river Alento), in the National Park of Cilento and in Vallo di Diano.
The colour of the bird’s upper part has the same colour of chestnut or in other words a dark reddish-brown colour and the lower parts are pale grey. Over the black eyes the bird has a narrow grey stripe. The only difference that can be seen between the sexes are that the male has a slightly larger dimensions than the female.
The bird can be confused with the nightingale because of the similar colours but they are not related.
