Vedovella napoletana

The Globularia neapolitana known as Neapolitan widow is kind of rare and it is an endemic flora of Campania, it is protected by the Regional Law by 25/11/94. In the Province of Salerno it can be found along the Monti Picentini (Monte Garofano and Monte Terminio), in the Sorrento Peninsula and at Capri (Monte Solaro). It grows along sunny limestone areas at an altitude of 500-1400 m.

Itis a representative of the family of Globulariaceae, it is very easy to observe it in the spring, in the flowering period. The first clue to recognize it is the hemispherical head with pale blue beautiful flowers.
