Geoffroy's Bat Myotis emarginatus E'. Geoffroy, 1806) is a mammal, chiropters of the family Verspertilionidae. It prefers mild-warm hill - plain areas but it can be also found in urbanized areas next to water sources (public parks). In Campania has been seen only in the Bosco di Le Tore WWF Oasis.

This is a nocturnal species which sleep in underground caves or abandoned buildings during the day. Its flight is very agile and linear, very similar to swallow’s. It rarely go over 5 m of high. During winter it find shelter in underground cavities with temperatures that never goes down 5 C°. The hibernation goes from October to April, lasting until May in particular cold years.
