Vite cultivar Tintore di Tramonti (Vitis vinifera) ,is widespread mainly in the municipality of Tramonti it is also widespread in the Valley dell'lrno and, sporadically, in other towns of the Amalfi Coast.
The grapes bred in old vineyards, gives rise to highly rated wines produced in Tramonti, compound (80%) from Il tintore and Piedirosso; these are wines suitable for aging they have a dry taste are rich in extracts and the tannins are not too astringent it also has hints of fruitiness.
Il tintore is a vine centenary of the Amalfi Coast.
Il tintore is an amazing grape and the vine is important to the Amalfi coast,the grapes are presents in conical clusters and a few berries. The clusters are able to resist for a long time on the plant. Il tintore is harvested during late October and early November.
